Jug Masterclass
Intensive 3 Days Throwing Class
Dates: 8th, 9th, 10th February 2024
Thursday 2 pm - 6 pm
Friday 2 pm - 6 pm
Saturday 11 am - 3 pm
£550 per person
The Jug Masterclass is suitable for intermediate to advanced level students who are looking to practice and develop their throwing skills. Please note that you need to be able to throw a reasonable size cylinder to join this class. You will learn how to correctly prepare, work and center larger amounts of clay and how to design a jug shape. Bigger and taller is our goal.
You will learn how to make and design a jug, how to join two cylinders to get your desired height for your jug, how to make different types of spouts, how to pull handles, trimming techniques and complex surface decoration.
Please note that this is a masterclass designed on making, we will not have a glazing session. Therefore, at the end of the masterclass we are going to glaze all artworks for you with a transparent glossy glaze.
Clay, glaze, tools, materials and firings are included.
Maximum 8 people per class.
