Back by Popular Demand: The Jug Masterclass
The Jug Masterclass is set to take place on March 13, 14, and 15 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).
Time:
Thursday 13 March: 11 am - 3 pm
Friday 14 March: 2 pm - 6 pm
Saturday 15 March: 11 am - 3 pm
All levels are welcome! The only requirement is that you’re comfortable throwing a reasonably sized cylinder of 15-20 cm in height.
You will learn how to correctly prepare, work and center larger amounts of clay and how to design a jug shape. Bigger and taller is our goal.
You will learn how to make and design a jug, how to join two cylinders to get your desired height for your jug, how to make different types of spouts, how to pull handles, trimming techniques and complex surface decoration.
Please note that this is a masterclass designed on making, we will not have a glazing session. Therefore, at the end of the masterclass we are going to glaze all artworks for you with a transparent glossy glaze.
Clay, glaze, tools, materials and firings are included.
Maximum 8 people per class.
Advance booking is recommended.
