CLASSES & WORKSHOPS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Kindly note that our classes and workshops are very popular and full payment must be done in advance to ensure a place is booked. Please note, the fee is non-refundable unless the class or workshop is cancelled by Ceramics Sculpture Studio.

However, if for any reason you may want to reschedule a class or workshop, you must notify Ceramics Sculpture Studio not later than 14 working days prior to the class.

We do realise that the unexpected happens and that a degree of flexibility is appreciated. We, therefore, allow transfers to other classes up until 14 days prior to the class. Within 14 days of the class, exchanges are not allowed but you can pass your spots on to friends or family members.

If the attendee (s) fail to attend the class or workshop for any reason, kindly note the full fees are payable.

When you book a class or workshop through this website, personal details as your name, email address and payment details will be required. Please ensure that all your contact details are correct. We cannot be held responsible for any misunderstandings that may arise due to an incorrect email address, name, written messages or any other incorrect details.

As soon as we receive your payment an email confirmation will be sent to you. This email will act as a receipt of your order and will imply that you had read and fully understand these terms and conditions.

The attendees must be 18+ years to attend a class or workshop.

Kindly note that for health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed in our classes and workshops.

Kindly note that Ceramics Sculpture Studio is not designed and does not have the right personnel to assist and teach people with any kind of disability.

The bisque fired artwork made during a class or workshop will be ready for collection in 3 - 4  weeks time and you will be notified by email. We cannot be held responsible for any of your artworks that break or explode in the kiln.

We will only keep hold of your artwork made at the studio for 14 days after you receive the bisque firing email confirmation. You must claim, glaze or collect your artwork within this time frame, otherwise, all your artwork will be disposed of or donated to our local charity shop.

We give all our students the chance to glaze their artwork made in the class. Please note that glazing is not a must! You can collect your artwork as it is but you can only use them as decorative objects as they are very porous and for health and safety reasons they cannot be used to drink or eat out from them at this stage. If you would like to eat or drink out from them, then, they have to be glazed.

Ceramic glaze is an impervious layer or coating of a vitreous substance which has been fused to pottery body through firing. Glaze is used to colour, decorate and waterproof your artwork.

If you would like to go ahead and glaze your artwork, we will send you a glaze colour chart with 12 glazes for you to choose from, and we will glaze them for you with the colour glaze you choosed. The glazing fee is £35 per person and must be paid in cash only at the studio on the collection day.

If you decide to glaze your artwork, please note that it will take another 3 - 4 weeks until you would be able to collect your work.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BOOKING IF THERE IS ANOTHER SHUTDOWN

  • If the government enforces another lockdown then we will offer either a refund or a chance to reschedule to all students who haven’t already begun a course. Rescheduling will be done by giving you a voucher for the value of your original booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM ILL WITH SUSPECTED OR DIAGNOSED COVID OR ANY OTHER ILLNESS BEFORE A CLASS TAKES PLACE

  • If we are given 8 or more days notice, we will offer you a refund or reschedule.

  • If we are given 7 or less days notice, we are unable to offer you a refund or reschedule as this is not enough time to resell your place. We do however allow you to send any friend or family member of your choice to class in your place.
